Homeopathic treatment of infertility

English: Causes of infertility, data compiled ...

Infertility is a failure to conceive within one or more years of regular unprotected coitus (intercourse).
It is a well known fact that the desire for children by the normal woman is stronger than self interest in beauty and figure, even stronger than the claims of a career.
Infertility can cause personal unhappiness and ill health and having children cements a threatened breakdown of a marriage.
Why should you turn to homeopathy for treating infertility?
Let me quote from Jeffcoate’s Text book of Gynaecology- “Environment can cause or encourage physical and mental ill health. The psyche influences the development of organic disease in all parts of the body. Illness begets anxiety and this in turn begets illness…..“Emotions and Environment are very important factors in pelvic diseases.”
Suppression or blocking of one of the six basic feelings (love, joy, anger, sadness, fear, sexual feeling) may lead to physiological changes that may cause physical damage to the individual.
How does the person react to stress?
Emotional stress -> increase in brain catecholamines -> affects mood -> affects behaviour.
Catecholamines regulate the pulsatile release of GnRH (Gonadotrophic Regulating Hormone)
Through their effect on GnRH, menses may cease or become disordered.
Homeopathy is holistic in its approach and treats the patient as a whole (mind as well as body) and not the body parts. Homoeopaths do not treat physical, emotional and mental illnesses separately, but regard them as intimately connected. These are all aspects of the whole of the patient’s suffering. Further, they understand that symptoms of illnesses are evidence of the body’s natural and automatic efforts to heal itself.
Homeopathic remedies will not upset the balance of endocrine secretion, for the similimum will fill the demands of the system in all the parts without stimulating too much these organs which have maintained a relatively secure balance.
