The California Homeopath is Back!

The California Homeopath” was founded in 1882 by Dr. William Boericke and Dr. W.A. Dewey. Some of the best homeopathic practitioners of the day contributed to these periodicals and they have become the documented history of the efficacy of homeopathy.

In 2006 the California Homeopath was reborn under the California Homeopathic Medical Society, but that era ended in 2016. The California Homeopathic Medical Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the encouragement of homeopathic research, maintaining principles of ethics in homeopathic practice, fellowship and personal growth. Founded in 1877, in response to the need for a professional association of homeopathic physicians, today’s Society is a nonprofit, tax-exempt, California Corporation that has extended its membership to other homeopathic practitioners and lay persons across the United States. (Daxa and I are on the Board of this esteemed organization).

We are now, in 2026, witnessing the journal’s third charmed emergence. I am proud to be part of a team under whose collaborative effort, the California Homeopath has undergone a full century revival. Not only the republishing of the 2006 – 2016 decade, but also of the lost issues of 1882 to 1892.

We’re thrilled to announce the relaunch of The California Homeopath! After nearly a decade, a brand-new edition, Volume 20, Issue I has been published on January 31st, 2026- our first issue in ten years!

As we publish our first issue in nearly ten years, we are proud to do so with voices that reflect both the depth of homeopathic tradition and its living, evolving practice. This issue signals not only the continuation of a respected journal, but the beginning of a revitalized platform for thoughtful scholarship, dialogue, and inquiry.
We’re pleased to share early access to the issue with you here:  https://www.californiahomeopath.com/rebirth-volume-20-issue-1 –  AI Technology and Homeopathy – Back to the Future!

Our next edition publishes June 21, 2026, exploring: “The Next Paradigm Shift in Consciousness Thinking: How the Vital Force and Energetic Perspectives Challenge Mechanistic Reductionism.”
